Anyone that knows me well, knows that I am a psycho about teeth. There is nothing more noticeable than a pearly white smile. But, if you know me well you also know I am a red wine and coffee lover – we are talking a deep passionate love y’all. So I find myself needing to whiten often. I have tried many options in the past from stripes with little results to in-office teeth whitening procedures with an expensive bill.
Recently I got to try out Smile Brilliant. I was a bit unsure about how the process would unfold having to create my own trays and do the process from start to finish on my own.
That being said, I was relieved when we received our kits and there were perfectly clear step-by-step instructions. It took us a total of 15 minutes to make both of our trays and send them back in the labeled mailing sleeves. After a few days we received our clear trays back in the mail, and we were ready to whiten! I loved this concept because we only had to make our trays once and we were all set for any future whitenings for years to come. I also am passionate about trying to be as green as possible with items I use in and on my body. So I was happy to hear their gel is vegetable based and they’re vegan and cruelty-free!
Now that we have completed our treatments my husband and I can provide some insight!

Q: How long until you notice results?
After my first whitening treatment only using ¼ of the whitening gel, I noticed results immediately. It does take a bit longer to notice results if you have years of discoloration on your teeth but typically you will notice results within 10-14 days.
Q: Is the process painful?
I have very sensitive teeth when it comes to teeth whitening so I received the sensitive teeth whitening kit. I was provided some tips to help reduce sensitivity from Smile Brilliant, and when following those steps plus using the desensitizing gel provided I experienced zero pain.
Q: Does teeth whitening take a long time?
Okay, to be honest, I struggled with this one. My schedule is pretty crazy as a mom of 2. I have to be honest, I forgot to whiten my teeth every night or even every other night. However, when I really committed to it, it really was simple and worth it! I found whitening after dinner was the best so that way by the time I was ready for bed I could be done and go right to sleep.
