Last Minute Father’s Day Gift Ideas – By Jordan

Hi there, Jordan here! Lexi asked me this week, “what are some last minute gift ideas that my friends can get for their hubbies?”.  I interpreted this as though she hadn’t got me a gift… shameful.  She assures me this is “for a friend”, so I’ll humor her.  So here they are, a few things that I received as gifts in the past, bought for myself, or would gladly accept from my #1.

This Opinel No. 8 Stainless Steel Pocket Knife is one of my favorite items. It is a classy, but practical pocket knife that I use for everything from peeling an apple at my desk to tearing down the 9 million Amazon packages that Lexi has delivered to our door. It is a reasonable price, but timeless item that I own, and have gifted my Dad as well.

This Leatherman Free P2 Multitool, is a serious multitool for any dads out there who are constantly tinkering, fixing things around the house, and/or have a work bench in the garage.  Note: I am not that dad.

You don’t have to be the ultra outdoorsy type to enjoy this Tenkara Fly Fishing Rod Set. It includes everything the dad in your life needs for a quick fishing adventure in a stream, creek, or river near you!  These rods are ultra-portable, which make them convenient for day hikes, kayaking and cannoning.

For the dad that has gadgets, and gadgets for those gadgets, and gadgets for… well you get the point.  Keep everything organized and in one place with this well-conceived, Peak Design Tech Pouch, for dad’s toys.

Now, I personally prefer a gift that is a bit more unique and generally not involving clothing. If you can’t seem to get on board with one of the more niche options above and want to stick to your safe place, here are a few casual ideas that are perfect for any man. I love Patagonia’s 5″ Baggies for every type of outdoor or water activity. would normally also suggest to purchase a polo, pullover, jacket, shorts, vest from Peter Millar that contains the logo of your loved ones favorite team, but note these would not arrive by Father’s Day at this point. So unless you want to do a raincheck on the gift for a later date you will need to stick with a faster shipping retailer at this point.

Lastly, you still have time to order from Dick’s Sporting Goods and receive the item by Father’s Day if you select a faster shipping option. They are offering $10 off every $50 spent, up to $30. They also have several sales currently on popular items for Dad.

Hopefully this sparks a few ideas for you folks who “just want to help out your friends”. I will let you know come Monday if any of these items were wrapped or bagged and given to me from my girls! 🙂 Hope you all have a great Father’s Day.
