Everyone Else Is Doing It, and You Should too

This summer we traveled to the beautiful island of Nevis, and stayed at the outstanding Four Seasons Nevis. Nevis is the smaller of the two islands comprising the nation of Saint Kitts and Nevis in the Caribbean. Nevis is the best kept secret in the Carribean. A volcanic island with lush green vegetation, blue sky, and quiet beaches.

Traveling to Four Seasons Nevis

Our journey there began with a flight into the island of St. Kitts. There we were greeted by a driver who packed us up, and drove us through St. Kitts showing us its beauty along the way. St. Kitt divides the Atlantic Ocean and Carribean Sea and the overlook of this point is breathtaking. After about a short 12 minute drive we arrived at the dock to hop on to our charter boat directly to the Four Seasons Nevis’ Dock. You walk off the boat right onto the heart of the property.

Check out a recap of our travel day in this short video on Instagram!

Upon arrival you are taken on a golf cart tour of the property which is the epitome of Caribbean charm! Nevis Peak is the showstopper and can be seen from many locations around the property. After our quick tour we arrived at the Alexander Suite where we stayed for our first night.

Alexander Suite Room Tour

We went in July and not only was the weather fantastic, but it felt like we had the resort to ourselves. That is one thing we certainly love about Four Seasons. Everyone is a VIP and you always feel like the most important people in the room. Often we had the pools to ourselves and never had to worry about there not being beach chairs available for us. It allowed us to feel like royalty and truly have a relaxing family vacation. Which is not always easy to do when traveling with kids!

Accommodations

At Four Seasons Nevis, you have several options for room rentals. Select from a guest room, suite, villa, or private residence rental. All rooms feature a Caribbean-inspired design with private patios or balconies overlooking the ocean, the gardens, or Nevis Peak. The luxury villas range in size and style from one-bedrooms, up to seven and from traditional Caribbean design to luxe modern decor.

Golf

You can take a swing on The Robert Trent Jones II Golf Course and witness the dramatic views of the Resort and even a look at the neighboring island of St Kitts as you tee off on the 18-hole, par-71 course, surrounded by vibrant, tropical foliage. Be sure to keep an eye out for the playful green vervet monkeys that can often be spotted around the course.

FootGolf

If traditional golf isn’t your game, you can still get a view of the championship golf course with a game of footgolf. Played similarly to golf, players kick a soccer ball instead of striking a golf ball, working toward a 21-inch “cup” in place of the usual golf hole. The player who finishes the course with the fewest shots wins. This was our favorite activity by far and we had so much fun getting to enjoy the golf course but in a new way! Take a look at the fun we had while playing Footgolf.

Tennis

The kids might have enjoyed tennis the most out of all the activities we tried during our stay. They loved getting to use a ball machine on the beautiful astroturf court. If you are looking to work off some of the delicious Caribbean cuisine through tennis, definitely don’t skip on the four red-clay courts, three hard courts, and two AstroTurf courts, managed by world-renowned Peter Burwash International at their top-rated tennis center.

Eco-golf

This activity was new for the entire family. Located on a beautiful piece of the property, those with or without golf experience can take a swing at hitting bio-degradable golf balls into the ocean. The coolest part is after 72 hours these golf balls dissolve into fish food! Is there anything better than hitting some golf balls into a beautiful ocean while feeding the fish as well? The girls thought this was pretty neat!

Rum Tasting

If you are looking for a fun way to spice up your evening at Four Seasons Nevis you must try a Rum Tasting. Arrange a private rum tasting at one the many beautiful places on property that you can request this setup. Sip your way through the history of rum in Nevis, you won’t regret this experience!

Cookie Decorating Class

As always, Four Seasons has a fantastic way of making sure everyone in the family has an outstanding stay. The kids were treated like princesses all over the property and in every way possible. There are many different activities the kids can embark on during your stay, and ours selected cookie decorating! If not a cooking or baking class, try out kite making, monkey spotting, or biology class!
